Tom was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1961. Shortly thereafter, his family moved to the Orlando area where he spent his youth. Tom graduated from Lyman High School in Longwood, FL in 1980. He went on to obtain his B.A. from DePauw University in Greencastle, IN in 1984, and later his JD from the University of Florida, College of Law in 1987. Tom now resides in Winter Park, FL, with his wife and three children.
Prior to starting the firm, Tom served as the Assistant County Attorney for Palm Beach County and the Assistant City Attorney for Orlando. Subsequently, he then practiced in Orlando with law firms focusing in the field of eminent domain and local government and real estate litigation.
In 1997, he opened the Callan Law Firm, PA. Over his career, Tom has successfully tried over 29 jury trials in eminent domain or real estate valuation and handled more than 900 parcels.
He has also represented the Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC), Orlando/Orange County Expressway Authority, City of Orlando, Palm Beach County, and AT&T/Florida.
